Day 1 UK / Beijing - 30th March 2012
Take flight from your home country to Beijing Capital International
Day 2 Beijing – 31st March 2012 Day 3 Beijing – 1st April 2012 Day 4 Beijing – 2nd April 2012 Day 5 Beijing – 3rd April 2012 Culture & Arts workshops in the afternoon: 1. Chinese Medicine 1:30pm to 3:00pm, 2. Chinese Music & Instrument workshop from 3:20pm to 4:20pm 3. Chinese Calligraphy and Painting from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Stay at International Plaza-Beijing Shishahai Sports School. Upon arrival meet the SCIC staff in the airport and transfer back to Hotel, have a rest at hotel. After lunch carry on the Briefing and orientation in the afternoon, a welcome dinner. Stay at International Plaza-Beijing Shishahai Sports School.
Sightseeing Program (Visit the Tianan Men Square and the Forbidden City in the morning, have lunch in the local Chinese family. After lunch have tour of Hutong and Gongwangfu by rickshaw. Visit Beihai Park, After dinner enjoy the Peking Opera Show. Stay at International Plaza-Beijing Shishahai Sports School.
The MA Training Sessions 1 (Option: Internal or External styles ) from 9 to 10:30 am at the back garden of the hotel, start the sightseeing program at the 11:00am in the morning and visit the Ming Tombs (Sacred Way), lunch in Dayi restaurant, Visit the Badaling Great Wall in the afternoon. Visit the Tea House. Peking Duck Banquet followed by the workshop (Chinese Stone Seals & Chops Workshop 8 to 9pm. Stay at International Plaza-Beijing Shishahai Sports School.
The MA Training Sessions 2 (Options: internal or external styles) from 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning, Lunch at a local restaurant nearby the hotel.
Free time for rest and self exploration in Beijing, Lunch and dinner are not provided. Stay at hotel.
The MA training Session 3 (Taichi Ball) 9:30 to 10:30am at the Temple of Heaven Park. Visit the Temple of Heaven. After lunch visit the Summer Palace, Have a Hotpot dinner and enjoy the Chinese Acrobatics Show in the evening. Take overnight train K179 22:38 - 07:11 to Zhengzhou (Shaolin)
Day 8 Zhengzhou – 6th April 2012
Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for breakfast; visit Henan Historical Museum in the Morning, after lunch. enjoy the paper cutting, Majiang and Dumpling Making workshops from 5 to 6 pm, dinner at a local restaurant, stay at Shaolin International Hotel 4 star.
Take the bus to Wenxian (Chen Tai Chi Village), Visit the Cheng Family Memorial Temple, after lunch option to learn Chen style Taiji with an additional fee at the Village in the afternoon. Dinner at hotel, Stay at Shaolin International Hotel.
After breakfast, travel to Shaolin Temple, enjoy the Shaolin Kungfu Show, Shaolin Kungfu Whole Day tour of Shaolin Temple. Stay at Shaolin International Hotel 4 star.
After breakfast, the Shaolin Buddhist Meditation or Kung Fu Training Session from 9am to 11am in the Shaolin Kung Fu School, After lunch travel to train station, after dinner take overnight train back to Beijing.

Day 11 Luoyang / Xian 9th April 2012
After breakfast, take a train to Xian 9:29 to 14:31, visit The Ancient City Wall, Big Mosque and have a walk around at the mosque area, lunch, Drum Tower. Stay at Grand New World Hotel.

Day 13 Xian 12th April 2012
Breakfast, whole day visit of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Lunch, dinner, take overnight train Z20( 19:23 - 06:53) to Beijing

Extension Trip to Wudang Mountain
Day 11 Luoyang / Wudang 10th April
After breakfast enjoy your free time, after lunch travel to Luoyang take train to Xiangfan, upon arrival, meet our guide, and transfer to Wudang. Stay at Nine Dragon Hotel
Breakfast, Whole day tour of Wudang Mountains including Purple Cloud Temple, Nanyan Place, Prince Slope, Lunch and dinner is provided, Stay at Nine Dragon Hotel
Breakfast, Wudang Kung Fu / Taiji training is from 9: 30 to 11:30, After lunch transfer to Xiangfan Train Station, take train K280 17:52 - 13:09 back to Beijing

Cost
The cost of the trip from departure from London to our return is £1638 (subject to slight change depending on flight costs)
A deposit of £400 is due by 30th September 2011, followed by six payments of £200 by the end of each month.

China trippers are asked to arrange their own inoculations, travel insurance and visa.
The cost of the trip may vary slightly depending on the cost of the flights when booking. The quoted price is based on last years' trip.
I will need all passports information. It is better to give me the passports, as any mistakes are costly.
Passports must be valid for a full 6 months after returning from China, and must have 2 clear pages.
If you wish, I can get the visa for you at a cost of £90 (to be checked)
I can also arrange a minibus to and from the London airport. The cost will depend on numbers.
It is customary to give a tip to the minibus drivers and tour guides.

Flight details are at the bottom of the page. Note the Outbound is 30th March. Also, I was given the option of getting an A380 airbus for an extra £35 pp. I took the option as it's bigger seats and extra leg room: great on a 10hr flight! Unfortunately that means the trip is £35 more, but well worth it (from experience), so apologies for that!

Initially i couldn't get flights within the budget I set for us, so waited for them to come down (risky but seems to follow a pattern). Then couldn't get a flight without a 9-11hr connection wait on one of the journeys, and now i have good flights, only just within the budget, but a day earlier than anticipated! I've gone for that as it will start to increase in cost again now, so I'll put the new dates up (flying out on 30th March) when it's confirmed tomorrow :)
