Kickboxing is a simplified form of Chinese boxing (kung-fu).

 

Techniques have been simplified and reduced to its basic components, making it relatively quick and easy to learn.

 

Motivation and determination are the main requirements, so proficiency and efficacy can be attained in a short time.

Kickboxing does not require the practitioner to remember long sequences of movements or drills.

Instead, the art has become sparring, pad work and endurance based, making it a favourite in modern fast paced lifestyles.

 

Very early on in training, a student can expect to improve in stamina, flexibility, co-ordination, strength and timing.

These are gained through the actions of conditioning, punching, kicking, blocking, padwork, light sparring and stretching.

 

This art is ideal for those who want a quick, focussed and effective workout, in addition to the confidence gained through effective self-defence.
