Barbara fletcher
Barbara has been training in Tai Chi since 1998. She was encouraged to broaden her knowledge of the various arts. Subsequently, she tried her hand at traditional kung-fu. Starting with basic forms, she went on to learn an array of styles and weapons.
.
Barbara also trained in Wing Chun kung-fu for several years, as well as the more energetic art of Chinese Kickboxing. She eventually turned to Wushu in which she still trains weekly.
.
After a long period of Tai Chi practice, her teacher Andrew hand picked her to begin the practice of Chen style, considered the oldest and most challenging form of Tai Chi. She enjoys both the Yang and Chen styles, as well as the broadsword, fan and straight sword forms.
.
Having achieved a good level, Barbara was selected to demonstrate and compete at national tournament.
.
She has attended numerous intensive training seminars with famous practitioners such as Prof. Li De Yin, Master Wang Yanji, and Master Nathan Menaged. In 2005 and 2007, she travelled across the globe to China to enhance her training, as well as to visit the origins of her favoured arts.
